Dr. Bharat Bhushan is an Ohio Eminent Scholar and The Howard D. Dongfang Yang received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Guelph in 1995. He joined the National Research Council of Canada in London, Ontario in 2001 and is now a Senior Research Officer. His current research interests include laser materials processing; pulsed laser, sputtering and e-beam deposition of thin films; new materials development for energy storage devices; chemical and optical sensors development; and electrochemical studies of organic adsorption and self-assembly monolayer. He is currently serving as a member of the editorial board for 7 scientific journals including “The Research & Reviews in Electrochemistryâ€, “Current Chemical Research†and the journal “Sensors & Transducersâ€. He is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware, USA. Dr. Wei was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Center for Computation & Technology at Louisiana State University from 2003 to 2007. Dr. Fenniri received all his degrees from the Université de Strasbourg, France. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute, CA, USA, he moved to Purdue University, IN, USA, where he initiated his independent academic career, and established the Purdue Laboratory for Chemical Nanotechnology (1999). In 2003, He joined the National Research Council as a founding member of the National Institute for Nanotechnology and as professor of chemistry and bioengineering at the University of Alberta (Canada, 2003-2013). Dr. Fenniri is currently Professor of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering at Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA. Lavinia Balan obtained the Ph.D. degree from the University Henry Poincaré in Nancy, France, in 2005. Her Ph.D. was devoted to the elaboration of an original material for the anode of Li-ion batteries. After a post doctorate in Orleans and then in Mulhouse, she joined the Department of Photochemistry (DPG) of Mulhouse in 2006 as a CNRS Senior Researcher. Professor Martins got her Chemical Engineering degree (1990), Ph.D. (1996) and Habilitation (2015) from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She is Researcher (Core Member) at Centro de QuÃmica Estrutural (Coordination Chemistry and Catalysis Group) of Instituto Superior Técnico, since 1992 and member of the Research Core Team and of the Executive Committee of the PhD programme - Catalysis and Sustainability. Hikmat S. Hilal is a Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Advanced Materials. He obtained his Ph.D. and D.Sc. from the University of Manchester in 1980 and 2016, respectively. Since then he has joined An-Najah National University, Nablus, Palestine. His teaching activities span general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, catalysis, solid state & semiconductors, group theory, organometallics and structural methods, for B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. His research involves solar energy utilization in electricity production and water purification/disinfection. Hila established the first group in Palestine in areas of advanced materials related to solar energy and semiconductor research. His group includes colleagues and students who have published more than 100 articles and conference papers. He published 5 books and research book chapters together with a patent. He has been active in conferences as a member of organizing committees and scientific committees and invited as a speaker. His works stem from his research lab inside Palestine. He received his B. Sc, M. Sc., degrees in 1997 and 2001 respectively from Purvanchal University Jaunpur, India and M. Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in 2003 and 2007, respectively, from The University of Delhi, India. From March 2006 to September 2009, he was postdoctoral fellows at various South African Institutes/Universities. In addition, he was appointed as “Senior Lecturer†in October 2009 at the Department of Applied Chemistry, University of Johannesburg, South Africa where he was promoted to “Associate Professor†in November 2011 until December 2014. Recently, he was appointed by University of South Africa as “Full Professor†since January 2015. He is also working as “Adjunct Professor†at Jiangsu University, China. His research interests include synthesis of multifunctional nano-materials, nano-composites, biopolymer and/or petrochemical based biodegradable polymers, polymers based materials/composites, smart materials, CNT and graphene-based composite materials and water research. Dr. Murugan Ramalingam is Professor at the Centre for Stem Cell Research (a unit of the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine-Bengaluru), Christian Medical College Campus, India. Concurrently he is Adjunct Professor at the Tohoku University, Japan. Prior to joining the CSCR, he was Associate Professor of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering at the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale, Faculté de Chirurgie Dentaire, Université de Strasbourg, France. He has worked at the WPI Advanced Institute for Materials Research, Japan, as an Assistant Professor. He has also worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), under the U.S. National Academies Associateship program. He received his Ph.D. in Biomaterials from the University of Madras. Dr. Raja Rizwan Hussain received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in 2006 and 2008 in Civil Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan which is ranked among Top 20 universities in the world. Dr. Hussain was ranked as outstanding student and was awarded the best research thesis, prize and medal from the University of Tokyo.
